If you’ve been tempted by
those TV adverts promising lots of money for your old mobile, but
found that yours is really only worth a few pounds, don’t bin
it - it can still make a difference – donate it to The Green Blue
and the proceeds will be shared with RYA Sailability – supporting a
great programme and helping the environment too! Read

With some 50 million
mobile phones in circulation in the UK and over 310 million Inkjet
cartridges and 10 million laser toner cartridges consumed in
Western Europe The Green Blue recycling scheme, launched in
partnership with RYA Sailability, encourages individuals and
organisations to donate old phones and printer cartridges which in
turn, generates a cash donation for the two programmes.
Launched at the 2009 PSP
Southampton Boat Show by HRH Princess Anne, the scheme is already
generating valuable funds for these great initiatives. Working with
recycling company Reclaim-IT, for every phone and cartridge
donated, depending upon make and model, a cash donation - anything
from 25p to £50 - is made to RYA Sailability and The Green
Blue.
With the sheer number of
phones and cartridges in circulation, having a way to reuse and
recycle is invaluable. The phones are put to good use in the third
world and the cartridges are remanufactured to be used again in the
UK.

started go to www.reclaim-it.com/custom/greenblue.htm
If you are a business you
can take advantage of the scheme to remove your waste cartridges at
no cost. You can also purchase remanufactured printer cartridges
for your office equipment at a fraction of the cost and for every
purchase you make Reclaim-IT will make a donation to The Green Blue
and RYA Sailability. To learn more visit //www.mycartridge.co.uk/?affid=greenblue
