Marine Toolkit

The Green Blue’s Marine Toolkit is a suite of resources designed to help managers of recreational boating businesses and leaders of boat clubs abide by environmental regulations and make more of their facilities by reducing waste and increasing efficiency.

The Green Guide for Marinas – a folder of practical information setting out what you need to know about key topics such as waste, water and energy, pollution prevention and quick guides on how to write an environmental policy, how to set up an EMS and how to understand your utility bills. The Guide is free to download here or you can contact the office for a hard copy info@thegreenblue.org.uk

The Green Blue provides environmental site visits and audits for RYA and British Marine members but all businesses are able to access a quick environmental checklist for marine businesses.

The Environmental Legal Register for Marinas, developed with British Marine member Blake Morgan LLP, provides a guide to all relevant environmental legislation and a set of templates to enable UK marinas to identify their legal obligations with respect to the environment. With different legislation in different parts of the UK, two versions of the register are available; one covering England and Wales, and one covering Scotland and Northern Ireland. The register is only available to British Marine and RYA members by contacting Dan.Reading@thegreenblue.org.uk
